What We Do
The Davidson Blockchain Club offers a structured, team-oriented environment where students can learn about blockchain technology and its applications. Our goal is to connect students with leading companies in the crypto industry for research opportunities, internships, and real-world projects. Through workshops, guest lectures, and industry collaborations, our members will gain the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the rapidly growing blockchain space.
Blockchain Fundamentals
Members will dive into the core principles of blockchain technology, learning about distributed ledgers, consensus mechanisms, and cryptographic security. This foundation will enable them to understand and engage with blockchain projects and innovations shaping the industry.
Smart Contracts & Decentralized Finance (DeFi)
Club members will explore how smart contracts power decentralized financial applications. Through hands-on projects and discussions, they’ll learn to navigate and contribute to DeFi ecosystems, focusing on automating financial services like lending and trading.
Crypto Industry Research
Members will participate in research projects that track the latest trends and innovations in the crypto industry. This work prepares them to identify opportunities and challenges within the rapidly evolving blockchain landscape, while collaborating on cutting-edge industry analysis.
Security & Development
In this focus area, members will tackle blockchain security challenges and gain experience building decentralized applications. They’ll learn secure coding practices and work on projects that prioritize creating safe and reliable blockchain solutions.
